Eliseo Garcia Celebration of the Arts 2011 bronze
Celebration of the Arts, bronze sculptures by Eliseo Garcia placed in the Margaret Robinette Scupture Garden at the Sammons Center for the Arts, was dedicated on Thursday, January 12.

Tours
A 90-minute walking tour of our so-called downtown Arts — it is actually a Performance — District beginning at 10 am First and Third Saturdays, meeting at Harwood and Flora (entrance to Dallas Museum of Art).
Public
ArtWalk Dallas is a 3.3-mile free, self-guided tour of public
art in downtown Dallas.
Lectures
Tuesday Evenings at the Modern, Fort Worth, presents lectures and presentations by artists, architects, historians, and critics. To assure seating, free admission tickets can be picked up at the Modern's admission desk beginning at 5 pm on the day of the lecture. Seating begins at 6:30 pm and is limited to 250. A live broadcast of the lectures is shown in Café Modern for additional guests. The Museum galleries and the café remain open until 7 during the series.

Crow Collection of Asian Art - is a rich family's private collection expanded and grown up into an amazing Asian collection that changes all the time and is in one of Dallas' premiere art exhibition spaces. Worth dawdling through anytime.

MADI Geometric Museum - un upper Oak Lawn, this odd place — amazing geometric color inside and especially outside — is one of Dallas' true gems.
Meadows Museum - odd duck of a very Conservative collection located on the campus of Southern Methodist University, not far from the future site of W's Presidential Museum of Horrors. FREE 5-8 on Thursdays, 5900 Bishop Boulevard at SMU, 214 768-2516
The Museum of Geometric and MADI Art is one of Dallas' unique treasures, and it's always FREE. 3109 Carlisle Street, 214 855-7802

The Women's Museum - Of, By and For women. Great Sesquicentennial architecture, sometimes compelling art shows. I've never been.
Fort Worth
Amon Carter Museum of American Art (current exhibitions) - Has been my favorite Fort Worth museum since the Early 60s. Great place, lots of different shows, with a hard speciality in area art and artists — and photography. Usually free.
Kimbell Art Museum - one of America's pre-eminent art museums in one of America's pre-eminent architectural spaces.
