duplicate letters of support from the Meadows Foundation

On this page are scans from the original letter signed by Visual Arts Center Project Coordinator Mary Wachowiak-Ward on Artists Coalition of Texas stationary, dated June 1, 1980. It is the earliest official document tying ACT (the organization that later changed its name to D-ART) to the project to create a Visual Arts Center for Dallas. It also establishes that Mary W. Ward alone was the project's first manager.

Please note that the Project Coordinator named by ACT is Mary Ward and no other, and that the Planning Proposal — as defined above — was set for July of 1980. Most subsequent documents refer to the actual beginning of D'ART, A Visual Art Center for Dallas in September of 1980.
