This is one heavy frame, made of burnished steel. It contains — like a relic of ancient magic — one of photographer Roy Cirigliana's cyanotype petrogliphs. I bought it at an auction, but I'm not sure which, probably one of Allen Street Gallery's benefits.

I'd been wanting to get one of Roy's photographs for at least a decade. This gleaming metal shape, that echoes that of the Petroglyph in the photograph, is spectacular, as much for the sculptural, bird-shaped frame as for the photo it contains.
