Karen Erxleben Weiner's photographs and other works often relate to translucency. This birthday card to me (hence the dinosaur. . .) collage of transparent, color-key-like materials combines a Virgo symbol, a horoscope from my birthdate, a clock and that toothy purple beast.

I haven't wanted to contain it into a proper frame. It's long been stuck to my wall in the friends and family bagua of my living room, but after I pried its wad of tape off to scan it for this page, it wouldn't stick back on the wall, and I'm going to have to get some new sticky for it.
