This bowl by Jim Bowman, who used to live down the street from me, sits in my front window with a bunch of other glass — including a much newer, magenta bowl, which is also reflected in the small square mirror at the right of the photo below, soaking up light and heat and energy from the outside.

There's a lot of crystals around it, and they help scatter light and little rainbows through the front rooms of my home. I'm a big fan of Jim's work, and I've bought large, expensive pieces for family and friends over the years. So it was a special surprise when he and his wife MaryLynn gifted me with this lovely piece a few years ago on my birthday.
