Planting a Silent Oak for Joe
October 11, 2003
Photographs by JR Compton

Beginning at 6:45 pm October 11, 2003, Natalie, Hilary, Gabrielle and Michele planted a "Silent Oak Tree" (actually a Red Oak) in the front yard of the ancestral home in honor of father and husband Joe Stanco.
A lot of other family and friends helped.
As Natalie said in her invitational E-mail, "We hope it will grow and prosper there, just like dad did. Now is the season to plant it, and all the sistahs will be in town, so this is it, folks!"
After the tree was in the ground and some singing and poetry, was a sorta subdued Stanco party.
See the link below for more photos.
If any Stancos want, I'll be happy to burn all the better photographs on a CD.
