The edge of Manuel Mauricio's flat smoky glass donut and shadow, mentioned last issue ("His undulating edged circular glass donut with shadow was mild, unmenacing."), did not undulate. Mauricio shot the O-shape out of a sheet of glass with a BB gun.
A companion "X" was too tame to show. The O was impressively elegant, with little of the marvelous malevolence of much of Manuel's work.
