An Art Studio Tour Tradition

TheThe White Rock Lake Artists* Studio Tour began in 1992 when 6 neighborhood artists opened their studios to the public on the same week-end. In its 15th year, this popular Dallas event is the *Original* and the *Largest* of recent Dallas area neighborhood Art Studio Tours.

This Art Tour tradition continues in 2007 and will include 4 art centers and 40 art studios all within a short driving distance within neighborhoods near White Rock Lake. The artists include painters, sculptors, glass and mixed media artists, potters, jewelers, printmakers, photographers and fiber artists. The focus is the place (the studio) where artist*s produce their work as well as the tools, processes, and ideas behind the work.

Some locations will include demonstrations. The studios are as diverse as the art, consisting of backyard buildings, converted garages and rooms inside homes. This popular Dallas art event, coordinated 100% by artists, provides a unique art experience in a neighborhood setting.

Visit the artists in their personal and unique places, the spaces where they create. And of course, also discover ART treasures by local artists that you may want to add to your collection. Participate in this Free event at your own pace. The Artists welcome everyone to return or come for a first visit!
