The 2nd August Ramble:
It's
Just After Midnight,
and Have I Got News for You!
August 7,
2002
I guess you can consider
this as one of the Midnight Rambles we missed along the way.
I've been listening a
lot lately. To you, to other interested friends and trusted counselors.
And now I'm acting.
Tonight I raised the
annual fee for Supporting Memberships to $75. And I've added
a new class of DARts Subscribers who, for $35/year (I haven't
decided yet if the new DARts Subscribers will have any other
benefits, besides getting in on the Midnight Ramble community.
Any suggestions?) will have access to all DallasArtsRevue pages.
Which, of course, means
that not everybody does now.
You know about my dire
financial condition, so you probably understand why I've done
this. You
may even have suggested it.
But tonight I've changed the web addresses of some of DARts most
informative pages.
I'm telling you this,
so you'll know where to find them, because you will continue
to be able to access any and all DARts pages. They are below.
Fear not. Your Membership
Pages will always be fully accessible to anyone who wants to
see them. That's the whole idea, after all. And I'm already planning
another Supporting Membership extravaganza on the cover.
But many of DARts' more
time-consuming pages are now inaccessible to any but the more
intrepid web surfers. And -- soon as I figure out how, they'll
be impossible for anyone to access, unless they have a password,
which you will, of course, get.
I haven't decided whether
to include the Calendar in this deal. Right now it's accessible
but with a big warning label. Howsomever, since it's the most
time-consuming of all DARts pages, it's inching its way into
the Members- and Subscribers- Only pile.
Just thought I oughtta
tell you about these changes.

reasons, please do not give these new addresses to anyone. Also,
please do not give anyone your password.
It's not easy for a dreamer
to have dreams dashed, but I've had a lot of great advice lately
-- after some attention grabbing experience. My brain is still
spinning with new ideas. More changes are a comin'.
Meanwhile, the last Midnight
Ramble (and this guided missive) have accrued several amazing bits
of feedback and
suggestions, and I'm still very much open to more. Like sharp
intakes of breath while I'm driving, feedback is always appreciated.
Oh, and welcome to newest
members Dallas multi-media artist Sheila Cunningham and Artist's Assistant Alison White.
Thanks for listening.
Good night.
And thanks so very
much for Supporting DallasArtsRevue.com
