The Members Only - Bulletin Board is finally updated into a sort of a mini Ramble. Once it grows to 20 or more paragraphs, I'll just move it over into the Ramble directory.
I was working on some other page ideas, but it's the old stand-bys that are the real meat of this site's Member's Only Pages:
Artists Opportunities - is an often updated (weekly, sometimes daily) list of competitive and other exhibitions, jobs, grants and other opportunities for artists.
It's big -- much deeper than the puny public, sample ops page. And now that the word is finally out about DARt's Ops Page(s), we're getting more and often better opportunites.
Access to this page alone would be worth paying $25 a year. I know of two artists who've hit the jackpot with big prizes from these things.
Aesthetic Crisis Center - is about annimation and interactivity and Art and Thinking About Art, and talking about art and laughing out loud about art, and sometimes I let a little poli-tickle fun to seep in, too.
New links are added every week. If you submit a new site we like, we'll add it to our free, ACC Light page that everybody's welcome to visit at the old web address. Last year, the video festival stole loads of links from ACC.
Museums + Art Centers - lists and links Dallas and Texas area Museums and Art Centers, many with full contact information. Gradually, we'll visit each one and report back what we find there. For example, I recently visited what I'm calling The Other MAC (the Mesquite Arts Center) and wrote a little story about the little municipal arts center that might.
ArtSpace Information + Gallery Guide - Open times, addresses, even specific driving instructions for places like NRH Gallery and Connemara.
Visual Arts Groups Around Here - This was one of DARts most popular pages till I put it in the Members-Only section. It lists many, if not most, of the Dallas and Texas area art organizations. More are added often. Sometime this winter, I'll concentrate on this page's list and add at least a dozen more...
Schools, Universities + Classes - Another very popular area -- especially in late summer, just before each new Fall Semester.
Local Media - I'm still hoping to put together a downloadable PRess list. For the Tranquilla show, I sent stuff to several places, but the only one anyone ever mentioned was Tom Sime's column in The Dallas Morning News.
