Although the preponderance of Deep Elm wall art is
far from rapturous, this example is righteously right on.
Find it on the corner of Henry Street and Canton.

One of the more popular themes in religious art is "The Rapture," that end date time when all God's creatures are sucked up into heaven by divine forces. Dallas has been often blessed with various artists' depictions of this final solution on the sides of walls, but this is clearly one of the best ever.

For pure fantasy, nothing quite ever beats the art outside and inside of tattoo parlors. This colorful example on Main Street is especially beautiful while hardly straying from the designs perpetrated therein.

This wall at Crowdus and Commerce has often been decorated. Years ago I photographed ( way back when I still used film ) a step-by-step mural application by my friend, artist Dwayne Carter as he painted another, really nice mural on this wall. Like too many Deep Elm walls, however, that one disappeared in just a few months when the owner got religion.
