Art Services — Of the Internet Sort

There might actually be something on this page that's worth your while. Unlike most web pages, this one is not correctly chronological — the earliest work is not on the top. But I'll mix it up as time goes on.

I tried to get most of the solicitors behind these offers to buy an ad in DARts. But nobody did.

Please, tell DARts what happened if any of you deal with any of the companies or individuals below.

So far, none of the claims on this page have been substantiated. DallasArtsRevue makes no claims about anything in any of these unsolicited solicitations. These offers may be fabulous or they might be complete scams. My guess, in general, would be the latter.

I used to try to sell ads to everybody who sent me one of these notices. After awhile I quit bothering.

I have recently formed a spin-off video production company called, Love of Arts Productions. We specialize in creating teaching tapes for various art mediums. In fact, we are currently making tapes on iron art forms and will begin a new series on painting this spring.

Recently we've had ideas of making artist biography tapes for artists wanting to promote themselves to galleries and dealers or to corporations looking for commission opportunities. It's our desire to advertise this specialized service to the art community here in Dallas/Fort Worth and was wondering if you might suggest organizations that have advertising in their newsletters or might be interested in featuring our service as a story.

Best Regards,
Alan Lefebvre

We are introducing a new section of the discussion board. This allows visitors to post work to be critiqued and critique others work. Though, because this is new, it is not active we would like to encourage members to post work. This concept has potential but there has to be a first to everything.
